Re-coding new Meta fobs for the GTV

Locating Meta M99 Alarm ECU for re-coding

If the code card is lost or you do not have a working remote we can now re-code the M99T or M99T2 alarms which were fitted as standard to many TVR's. Either version of the Meta M99 can be fitted to TVR models depending on year of manufacturer etc.

The Meta M99 alarms on Chimaeras and some Griffiths are located under the top dash. To remove the top dash cover find the three 10mm nuts found on the underside of the dash. Unscrew the glove box in the passenger's side and the first 2 nuts are found here located where the red circle show. The 3rd nut is on the drivers side, indicated by the red circle and found by placing your hand up near the hood release cable. Be careful when you remove the top, so that the studs do not mark the leather. The alarm is found in the passenger's side corner (see photo above).

As most TVR's are also fitted with the M36 immobiliser it is not possible to replace the M99 with another unit or even replace the M36 as these are digitally linked to each other, as such in most circumstances cannot be coded to another device, if either of the items are replaced they will funtion as individual systems. Only re-programming the alarm will guarantee that both M99 & M36 will continue to function with each other. For more information call the office.

Once coded with two new fobs the alarm will be checked on our test bench, once the alarm is tested ok we will contact you for payment. If paying by cheque there will be a minimum delay of six days for it to clear before unit is sent back to you.
