Meta Remote Fobs

Remote fobs for Meta alarm systems are available in three different formats, 8 digit fixed code, 16 digit hexadecimal encryption coded and self coding randomly encrypted remotes.

All Meta alarms are supplied with a code printed on a red or blue codecard, these codes cannot be found elsewhere unless hand written on a receipt or certificate by the supplying dealer/fitter etc. If the code is lost or missing it will not be possible to program a new fob. However we can re-code the M8700, M996, M928, M99T, M99T2 and HPA range of alarms systems with two new fobs and a new codecard for future programming. Only the alarms mentioned above can be re-coded.

Types of Remotes

8 digit coded fobs:
Early Meta alarm systems use the 8 digit fixed code system. The code either starts or ends with the letters TC1B, I.E. TC1B12345678 or 12345678TC1B. Fobs using this code will work immediately with the alarm system and require no further programming. This code is only supplied By Meta on either a red or blue (if a Fiat part) code card and cannot be found elsewhere. However the code may also be hand written on a receipt or certificate by the supplying dealer/previous owner etc.

16 digit coded fobs:
The later Meta alarm systems require a 16 digit hexadecimal allocation code (numbers mixed with letters, A to F, e.g.: E607B8496E2BF240) which must be preprogrammed by a supplying dealer, this fob will not yet work with the alarm but needs to be programmed by the owner using a working remote control (for instructions see below) without which it will not be possible, up to 7 fobs can be programmed into the system. For all Meta car alarms (except M999T) and the 351 range of bike alarms a working fob is required, without which it will not be possible to code in.

The asterix next to each number represent how many remotes are programmed into the alarm (up to 7 remotes can be programmed)

For M357 range of bike alarms a 5 digit pin number (company code) is required without which it will not be possible to code in a new fob

Self coding fobs:
The Meta M999T alarm system uses a self coding system for programming, the fob does not need pre-coding however a 5 digit pin code is required without which it will not be possible to code in a new fob. This code is preset but can be changed to a personal code.

The M999T is made for Meta by Gemel Serpi Star (a Meta subsidiary) and as such a Gemel two button encrypted remote can be successfully programmed into the alarm brain.

Touchkeys for the M33T & M36T Immobilisers

RK36S Touchkey

For the Meta M36T and M33 range of immobilisers. Supplied with programming instructions. This key will also function with the Serpi Star Gemel 733 immobiliser.

Please note you will require a working touchkey to program a new key into the immobiliser brain. If this key is lost or damaged (non functioning) you will have to replace or remove the entire unit.

Once a RK36S touchkey has been programmed into either the M33 or M36 immobiliser unit it will be impossible to program the same key into another immobiliser. For this reason we are unable to take back unwanted touchkeys.

Both the M33 and M36 can accept up to 5 keys, when this maximum is reached the immobiliser brains will need to be reset by a service agent so to be able to accept a new touchkey. Supplied with comprehensive programming instructions.

META Remote Control PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS

Meta Programming Instructions for Random Encrypted Remotes (16 digit code - Not M999T) And for earlier motorcycle alarms such as the 351 & 355

Programming 16 digit Single Button Remotes

You will need one working remote to program a new remote into the system. This remote must be enabled by a dealer with a 16 digit code which is supplied on a plastic card, without this code the alarm brain will have to be sent back to be reprogrammed.

  1. Arm and disarm the alarm sixteen times or until the alarm stops responding, alarm now in program mode.....
  2. Once in program mode press the button of the new remotes(s), press the button of the original remote(s). This must be done within 8 seconds of each action. If 8 seconds pass without any actions the alarm will automatically exit programming mode and you will have to start from step 1.
  3. Wait 8 seconds to exit learning mode.
  4. Test remotes.

Programming HPA Remotes

You will need one working remote to program a new remote into the system. This remote must be enabled by a dealer with a 16 digit code which is supplied on a plastic card, without this code the alarm brain will have to be sent back to be reprogrammed.

  1. Arm and disarm the HPA sixteen times or until the unit stops responding. You will hear 2 high pitched beeps followed by 2 low beeps (normal siren), or 2 high beeps followed by 4 low.
  2. Within ten seconds turn on the ignition
  3. Press button A on new remote -LED turns on.
  4. Press button B on new remote -LED turns off and siren beeps once to confirm a successful link up.
  5. Repeat 3 and 4 for all other remotes
  6. When finished programming new remotes switch off ignition the siren will beep a number of times.
  7. Check all remotes are programmed into the system.

Introducing and removing remote controls to the M357T/M357TV2 (Motorcycle alarms)

It is advisable for the dealer to introduce new remote controls into the alarm system.
NB. All remote controls must be pre-coded to the number issued on the orange card supplied with the alarm. The override pin-code from the card is also required to access the programming routine.
Please ensure that you have these details before commencing.

1. Disarm the system either by remote control or override code.
2. Within 10s, turn on the ignition 3 times and keep it on (beep on third activation)
3. Turn the ignition off within 10s.
4. Enter the override code from the Orange code card.
5. Leave the ignition on when you have entered the fifth digit of the override code.
6. The buzzer will confirm the correct entering of the code by the signal (bip-bip-bop-bop)
7. Transmit once with the new remote control to be enabled (LED lit on)
8. Transmit a second time with the same remote control for confirmation (confirmation
beep). If the system emits a ‘boop’, the operation was wrong ; repeat the operation.
9. Now the new remote control is enabled and meanwhile, all those previously stored in the
memory are disabled.
10. Carry out, now, as described above, the double transmission of all other remote controls
to be enabled (including the originals).
11. Turn the ignition off. The system indicates that the programming is over by the signal (bipbip-
bop-bop).
12. The LED will emit the same number of flashes as the number of remote controls enabled.

Coding M33T & M36T Touchkey immobilisers

Disarm the immobiliser using an original working decode key.
· The LED on the decode head will go out.
· Within 10 seconds turn the vehicles ignition On and then Off.
· Within the next 10 seconds insert the new RK33 decode key.
· The LED on the decode head will light.
· If the coding has been accepted the LED in the decode head will remain off
for 14 seconds.
· If the LED in the decode head continues to flash immediately after the new
key has been inserted the new key has not been accepted. The usual
reason for this is that either the replacement key has already been coded
into another M33/M36 or that the M33/M36 has had all its vacant slots filled
(it will accept up to 5 keys in total).
· If the replacement key has already been programmed it also can be cleared
using the PR20.
