Selca IM3.22 Replacement Kit

Replacement kit for lost red keys

Fitting Instructons for locating & opening the control box

If the red key is no longer available this kit can be used to easily replace your existing Selca immobiliser for the minimum of cost.
You may need some dexterity and patience to locate and open the control unit. If you carefully follow the instructions there should be no problems.

Each kit includes a new bare control circuit board with one Red master key and one standard Grey key & LED recepticle and steel case with cover. Requires an electric drill and a sharp 6.5mm drill bit (not supplied)

Tools required; electric drill, a sharp 6.5mm drill bit and a centre punch (if available), optional tools; Dremel power tool + cutting discs.

First locate the immobiliser which in all cases should be hidden somewhere under the dash, you may have to remove some of the cars interior panels to gain access. If in doubt where the unit is hidden follow the wire from the LED receptacle, which will lead you to the main immobiliser unit.

Once located remove any screws/straps etc holding the control box to the vehicle. Once removed try and get as much slack from the cable so you can manipulate the control box easily.

Turn the box over and you will notice the two torque bolts, which for security reasons the heads have been purposely snapped off, these two bolts hold the unit together and this is where we have to drill. If you have enough room use a centre punch to make a indentation in the centre of the bolt head so the drill bit can get a cutting grip. A sharp 6.5mm drill bit is a good choice. Other methods of removing the bolts include using the centre punch to make a mark on the edge of the bolts and tap round in an anticlockwise direction, this will eventually unscrew the bolts (this is the method we use in the workshop, or if you have access to a Dremel power drill it may be possible with a small cutting disc to make a grove down the centre of the bolt face and undo using a screwdriver. The bolts are not particularly tightly fastened so in most cases it should not be too difficult to unscrew.

Once the bolts have been drilled remove the cover to reveal the circuit board....

Once you have completed the above instructions you are more than half way to completeing the repair of your existing immobiliser.

The rest of the instructions can be downloaded from the members area & are also supplied with each kit.

Full Instructions are available in the members area which is free to join.
