Gemel is an Electronic Company operating in the Vehicle Field. It was born at the beginning of the 80s in Brunello (Varese), 50 kms in the north of Milan. It has gained a hold as a leader in its own field already in the first years of activity. It was in fact chosen by BMW AG in 1986 and it was the first "Alarms" Company to become Official Supplier for the after-market field. During the years, the structural and organizational evolution of Gemel has permitted to reach further supplying agreements dedicated to the After-market Fields of other Car Manufacturers, such as: Daimler Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Rover, Fiat and Lancia. In 1994, thanks to the obtained qualifications, Gemel consolidates the co-operation relationship with BMW AG becoming, once more, the first company in this field, partner for the development and the supply of complete Systems dedicated to the "Original Equipment". At the same time Gemel gains a hold both in Italy than in the major European and extra European markets with its own product range with the Gemel - Serpi Star brand.
The second half of the 90s has also seen the development
of new supplies for the "Original Equipment" assigned to Rover
and BMW Motorrad. For BMW Motorrad, Gemel has realised original equipments
that are installed on Production Line for the vehicles range destined
to the Worldwide market.
