Coding Serpi Star Remotes On Most Systems (Self learning procedure)

Open the drivers door and keep it open

Turn on the ignition and leave it on.

EITHER

1- Turn the emergency over-ride key on the alarm to the OFF position wait a few seconds then back ON -Entry into the self learning mode will be signaled by 3 beeps on the siren.

2- For alarms systems equipped with touch key over-ride keys, insert the first key in the receptacle on the dash and keep it there until the beeps on the siren are heard, remove the touch key as you are now in self learning mode.

Note If you do not have the touch keys than it is impossible to program a new remote into the system.

.Once in programming mode, make sure you are very close to the vehicle, take the first transmitter and press both buttons at the same time, the LED on the remote will flash quickly, keep pressing both buttons until the LED stops flashing (approx. 10 seconds). Once LED is extinguished stop pressing the buttons the LED on the remote will stay on, press and release any button on the remote, you should now hear a beep from the alarm. The remote is now programmed into the alarm. All old remotes will now be removed from the alarms memory so you will have to repeat the above procedure for all the other remotes, also touch all the touch keys onto the receptacle to program them in.

To exit the self learning procedure

Turn off the ignition key.

If you are not sure whether your remote control is self coding carry out he following procedure:

Press both buttons simultaneously and hold, the LED should flash quickly, after 10 seconds the LED light goes out, release both buttons, the LED will now stay on constantly, press and release any button and the LED will go out.

If your remote does not do the above than you have the fixed code variety and I am afraid we are unable to help you.

If you have the old oblong unit with a corner cut out of it we are no longer able to supply this product (note that later versions of the oblong remote are self coding and the above remote can be programmed into your alarm system).
