Another very rare bike, especially in this condition. Unrestored and in completely original condition (with the exception of the exhaust which - more of later) this 1972 Honda CB125S was a firm favorite with seventeen year olds of the era, those that could not afford a 250 and parents who were not willing to sign on the bottom line for the flashier Suzuki & Yamaha strokers, the Honda was considered the more sensible in the eighth litre size motorcycle. Completely original to the last nut and bolt, I even have the original Tulip ended exhaust which needs a slight repair and will soon be back on the bike.
The bike has stunning acceleration and an incredible top speed of 65mph (well stunning when compared with a FS1E), the engine reved to an amazing nine and a half K and still gave 90mpg. The motor could stand a huge amount of abuse providing of course the oil was changed regularly. It ran 6 volt electrics with battery & coil ignition, you have to look after the pp3 sized battery if a breakdown was to be avoided. Kick start only is reliable usually requiring two to three prods to get the motor silently ticking over, but when revved there is quite a throaty roar from the exhaust, and to be honest the motor will be spending most of its time in the upper regions of the rev counter scale. All in all a great little bike of the seventies and again very rare in this superb original unrestored condition.
